KHONSA, Mar 22: The Tirap district administration has decided to carry out forceful disconnection of water supply pipes from those residents who have illegal water connections by a team of PHE & WS, police personnel and town magistrate.
The move came after a meeting was convened by Tirap Deputy Commissioner P N Thungon with concerned department in the DC’s chamber here on Wednesday last following serious complaints received from the residents of Khonsa town regarding leakage of water from pipes and non-availability of water due to unauthorized water pipes connection.
The DC directed the PHE & WS department to find out all illegal water pipes connections and urged all residents of the township, who have unauthorized water pipe connection, to get official connection from the PHE & WS office on or before 27 March next. (DIPRO)
