End red-tapism in offices, Rebia asks HoDs

YUPIA, Mar 23: Urban Development Minister Nabam Rebia has asked the heads of departments (HoD) of Papum Pare district to check re-tapism, saying it causes delay in making important decisions and affects development.
Addressing the departmental heads in a meeting here on Friday, the minister exhorted them to work proactively and as a team for successful and timely implementation of all the anno-uncements made for the district in the state budget.
Rebia held a thorough discussion on the budget announcements, and asked the officers to complete the DPRs within March-April, so that the DPRs may be submitted on time for early approval.
He also spoke on the Chief Minister’s Innovative Challenge Fund, and asked the officers to carefully study and strictly adhere to the guidelines.
Responding to the problems related to proper public transport system, shortage of faculties, infrastructures, etc, placed before him by the principals of Government College, Doimukh, and Government Women College, Lekhi, Rebia assured to find solutions to their problems.
Earlier, Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye apprised the minister of the current status of all flagship programmes and other projects in the district.
All HoDs of the district were present in the meeting. (DIPRO)
