ITANAGAR, Mar 26: The first conference of the Nyishi Ethnic Students of Arunachal Pradesh (NESA) was held at a city hotel here on Monday, during which the organisation resolved to take up several social and developmental issues of the community.
Addressing the function, NESA president Biri Chatum appealed to likeminded people to come forward and support the movement for preservation of art, culture and tradition, and protection of the local dialect and local festivals.
Several participants raised the issue of the need for strict checking of inner-line permits in the capital complex, the deplorable education scenario, development of educational infrastructure, and proper implementation of the RTE Act.
