ZIRO, Apr 16: The All Dollungmukh Area Students’ Union lodged an FIR at the police station here on Sunday against unknown miscreants who reportedly stole CGI sheets and iron rods from the dismantled tourism amusement building the children’s park in Dollungmukh.
In December last year, forest officials from Assam, led by the North Lakhimpur DC, the commanding officer of the IAF’s Dollungmukh firing zone (eastern command) and others had carried out an eviction drive and dismantled the tourism amusement park and the children’s park in Dollungmukh.
“Later, on 1 April, 2018, some miscreants took away all the building materials, including CGI sheet and rods, from the dismantled building,” the FIR stated.
The union has also written to the state tourism director, urging him to constitute an inquiry committee to look into the matter and lodge and FIR to have the culprits arrested.
