ITANAGAR, Apr 17: The All Mengio Students’ Union in a representation to the chief secretary on Tuesday reiterated its demand for urgent posting of circle officers (CO) in Mengio and Silsango circles and an extra assistant commissioner (EAC) in Mengio.
The people of the two circles are facing immense difficulty in getting their official work done because no CO has been posted against the two circles for the last two and a half years, the union stated.
“People have been deprived of important government schemes following non-posting of a permanent EAC in Mengio, while many government projects and schemes are currently on halt in Mengio since there is no permanent EAC in the circle,” it said.
