NAHARLAGUN, Apr 29: Arunachal Sporting Club (AFC) defeated D Sector United FC 5-3 in the last league round match at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here on Sunday to join Polocity FC, Kamle DFA and Young XI FC in the semifinals of the Sub-Junior Boys U-16 Dera Natung State Level Football Tournament.
Jacky Rapung put ASC ahead, scoring in the 4th minute. D Sector’s Pokni Yoka scored two self goals, which gave ASC an early 3-0 lead. However, Tawa Bagang and Peto Ete reduced the margin to 2-3 at halftime.
In the second half, Ramiyo extended ASC’s lead to 4-2, before Jacky Rapung completed his brace a few minutes later (5-2).
Peto again scored for his team D Sector (3-5), but ASC maintained its lead till the end.
Earlier, Noob Boys FC defeated Lorr Putung FC 3-1 in their last match of the tournament.
Both the semifinals will be played on 1 May.
