ITANAGAR, Apr 29: Governor Dr BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed their greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, which will be celebrated across the world on 30 April.
In his message, the governor expressed hope that the occasion would facilitate the dissemination of the Buddha’s teachings and strengthen emotional integration and mutual understanding among the people.
The chief minister in his message urged the people to reflect on the Buddha’s teachings of compassion, peace and honesty, and prayed that the occasion would “drive away the darkness of ignorance, bigotry and hatred, and herald an era of contentment, peace and enlightenment in the world.”
