ITANAGAR, Apr 30: Ayushman Bharat Diwas was celebrated across the state on Monday with programmes held in various districts to apprise the people of the benefits of the schemes under the National Health Protection Mission (NHPM).
In Yupia, the Papum Pare District Health Society launched the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission at Borum village.
Health Services Director Dr Moramor Lego directed the DMO, the DRCHO, programme officers, MOs, ANMs, ASHAs and PRI leaders to be involved to ensure that the schemes reach the beneficiaries.
The programme’s state nodal officer Dr Tana Takum explained the mechanism of the programme and the benefits it would provide to the poor people of the district and the state.
DMO Dr Tasso Kampu Subu directed the MOs to create awareness at their respective blocks and activate the beneficiaries on the portal under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan.
The names of five beneficiaries of Borum village were activated on the portal through their ration cardsand mobile numbers.
In Namsai, Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma asked the district’s block medical officers (BMO), ANMs and ASHAs to ensure that the benefits of the schemes under the NHPM reach the beneficiaries in the villages.
During a meeting at the district hospital there on Monday to mark Ayushman Bharat Diwas, Sharma handed over the list of beneficiaries to the BMOs, to be distributed to the ANMs and ASHAs in their respective blocks.
District Medical Officer Dr Nani Rika asked the district’s medical officers-in-charge to conduct similar meetings at the block level with ASHAs, anganwadi workers and panchayat members.
DPO (M) Dr CM Thoumong made a PowerPoint presentation on the NHPM schemes.
In Tawang, Aayushman Bharat Diwas was observed throughout the district by the health & family welfare department and the rural development department with support from the district administration, the women & child development department, gaon burahs and panchayat members.
Gram sabhas were conducted to inform the eligible beneficiaries about the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission, and to update the existing beneficiary list to ensure full coverage.
The villagers were educated on the provisions and benefits of the scheme and the process of availing it.
The day was also observed across East Kameng district by the health & family welfare department. In Seppa, DMO Dr Kaya Lapung, Medical Superintendent Dr Kopi Gyadi, DANO Dr SK Suman, MOs and health staffers observed the day at the district hospital.
In Anjaw, a meeting was organized in Hawai to provide information about the Ayushman Bharat insurance scheme to the targeted beneficiaries, and to make them aware of health-related information. Chaired by Circle Officer Rupir Siboh, the meeting saw the participation of panchayat members and HoDs.
Similar activities were organized in Hayuliang and other parts of the district. (DIPROs)
