HAWAI, May 5: Anjaw Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Mamata Riba called upon the Block Level Officers (BLOs) to upgrade activities on electoral literacy clubs, voters awareness forums and chunav paathshalas within the framework stipulated by the Election Commission of India for mainstreaming electoral literacy through education institutions, organizations and communities and to review status of minimum assured facilities of all the polling stations of the constituency.
She was addressing the BLOs during a special programme for training of BLOs of 45 Hayuliang assembly constituency with emphasis on special drive 2018, SVEEP, ELC and certification, organized at the DC’s conference hall here on Saturday.
Reiterating the call to BLOs to upgrade their knowledge on use of android technology, given the digital forum of BLO net, she urged the BLOS to cooperate with designated officers and supervisors to fulfil mandated targets.
Later, during the technical session, district master trainer (Technical), Dhiraj Kumar presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation sensitizing on the BLO register application. Seasoned master trainer and DRDA Project Director Mito Dirchi dwelt on formation of ELCs, voters awareness forums, chunav pathshalas and on the features of the VVPAT equipment through series of documentaries, while AERO Hqtrs R Siboh called upon BLOs to strive for an error-free roll.
