LIROMOBA, May 14: Tapiyor village in West Siang district has been conferred with the ‘MLA’s Most Clean Village Award’, under the Liromoba assembly constituency, for the year 2018.
Tapiyor falls under Yomcha circle.
Every household of the village was awarded with an LED TV for the feat by Parliamentary Secretary and local legislator Nyamar Karbak. A certificate of appreciation from the district administration was also handed over to the hamlet.
Congratulating the dwellers of Tapiyor, Karbak also lauded the endeavours of Yomcha ADC Rujjum Rakshap and ZPM Yiyom Yomcha, who encouraged the people to maintain cleanliness.
The MLA’s Most Clean Village Award is a campaign initiated under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Sijir Rakshap village had won the award last year.
