NAMSAI, May 23: East Arunachal Parliamentary ConstituencyMember of Parliament Ninong Ering reiterated on the need of panchayat bodies in the state as the term of existing bodies is about to expire.
Attending the first quarterly meeting of the District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee of Namsai district for 2018-19 here on Wednesday, the MP said that without Panchayat bodies, the central government may not allocate funds for panchayat and other central sponsored schemes.
Further, reviewing the overall progress and after getting feedback from Panchayat leaders and all concerned, Ering expressed satisfaction on progress and quality of work in the district especially under departments like RWD, PHED, DUDA and DRDA. He also urged upon all the executing agencies to execute the work as per guidelines and to maintain quality of work.
He also desired active participation of all concerned departments with presentation in the next meeting to be preceded by field inspection.
Deputy Commissioner cum Member Secretary of the committee, RK Sharma urged upon all executing agencies for proper implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, especially in view of timely monitoring and review.
Participating in the discussion, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Chou Zingnu Namchoom appreciated the progress of work in the district and reiterated need for timely implementation of all the work. He also urged departments like ICDS, WRD etc to come up with proper details/presentation in the next meeting.
Panchayat leaders, bankers and all HODs also attended the meeting.
