RAGA, May 29: Kamle Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi launched the Integrated Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) in the district, at the community health centre (CHC) here on 28 May.
“A healthy society alone can propel the developmental process to its zenith,” the DC said, and stressed the need to prioritize the health sector initiative with missionary zeal.
DMO Dr Toko Lakshmi Balo presented an overview of the programmes launched under the National Health Mission, such as Ayushman Bharat, Dulhari Kanya, and MAA, and sought concerted efforts from the stakeholders for the success of the programmes.
DRCHO Dr Kapu Sopin informed that orientation programmes on the IDCF have been imparted to panchayat members, GBs, medical staffs, ASHAs, and anganwadi workers in Dollungmukh, Boasimla, Puchi Geko, Muri Mugli, Raga, and Mite villages.
He said 1,700 children between 0-5 years of age will be provided zinc tablets and ORS at 27 zinc supply corners in the entire district.
IDCF was also launched at the CHC in Muri Mugli, and the PHCs in Puchi Geko, Boasimla, Mite, and Dollungmukh. (DIPRO)
