ZIRO, Jun 4: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) has demanded that an IAS officer “with impeccable record” be posted as the deputy commissioner of Lower Subansiri district “within 15 days.”
In a representation to the chief minister, the association stated that the ongoing legal battle between the outgoing and incumbent deputy commissioners here has brought the whole administrative setup to a complete halt, thus hampering the district’s development initiatives, including the Tran-Arunachal Highway project.
“AYA will be left with no other option than resorting to democratic movement if the demand is not met within the given time period,” it said.
