ITANAGAR, Jun 13: The Land Affected People’s Forum (LAPF) of the Joram-Koloriang Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) project has demanded re-verification of the 20km to 50km stretch of the Joram to Koloriang TAH project without ceiling limit and without involving the district administration.
The LAPF said that the Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner, Yachuli ADC and the District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer (DLRSO) should not be allowed to get involved in the re-verification process.
Claiming that the district administration is the party to the ‘scam’, the organisation further said that the purpose of constituting the ‘Fact Finding Committee’ was to conduct verification with an independent and expert team from the Public Works Department.
“If the chairman of the fact finding committee again goes ahead with empowering the district administration to conduct re-verification by keeping ceiling limits of Rs 10,000 and above, it will be nothing but dictating to suppress the genuine beneficiaries and to delay the construction of road, because the district administration is a party to this scam”, the forum alleged.
It further said that “the fact finding committee has sealed all relevant documents and is now under verification and evaluation. So formation of committee from district administration will definitely invite unfair means in the re-verification process.”
