ITANAGAR, Jul 2: The Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission has imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Likabali Divisional Forest Officer-cum-Public Information Officer (PIO) Bajum Taba for delaying furnishing information sought by appellant Tako Tagom pertaining to APIC Case No 117/2018, the next hearing of which is fixed on 27 July.
The APIC has directed the PIO to furnish the information sought to the appellant before 27 July, failing which the commission said it will invoke Section 20(1) of the RTI Act.
