Schemes’ implementation assessed

AALO, Jul 12: Women & Child Development (WCD) Commissioner Gamli Padu took stock of the implementation of various schemes under the department in West Siang district on 10 July.
Addressing a review meeting in the DC’s conference hall here, Padu asked all the officers and officials to be stationed at their places of posting, and assured to address the problems faced by the officers while implementing schemes.
Expressing concern over the poor Aadhaar linking coverage, especially of children between 0 to 6 years of age, pregnant and lactating mothers, and out-of-school adolescent girls in the age group of 11 to 14 years in West Siang and Lower Siang districts, Padu asked the departmental officers to liaise with the administrative officers in the outposts for logistic support and mobilizing field staffs for good Aadhaar linking coverage.
He also emphasized on implementation of the prime minister’s flagship programmes, especially Phoshan Abhiyan Yojana, Matru Vandana Yojana, and Beti Batcho and Beti Pradhao Schemes, in letter and spirit.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan said Aadhaar coverage in Monigong and Pidi circles would start again, and that a plan is being prepared to carry out enrollment from Lunget from 23 July.
CDPO Bahi Koyu made a PowerPoint presentation on the status of various schemes implemented by the WCD department in West and Lower Siang districts.
ICDS Deputy Director LK Singpho, administrative officers of Mechukha and Tato, DSO (statistical) and the CDPOs of the two districts also spoke. (DIPRO)
