Custody of accused further extended

ITANAGAR, Jul 12: The police custody of the three accused in the scam involving misappropriation of compensation amount under the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) project in Lower Subansiri district was extended again by three days on Wednesday.
This is the second extension of their police custody, which had earlier been extended for two days.
Former deputy commissioner Kemo Lollen, former DLRSO Bharat Lingu and businessman Likha Maj were arrested on 3 July and remanded to seven days’ police custody. They were soon admitted to the Rama Krishna Mission Hospital here following complaints of health issues.
The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) investigating the case has written to the health services directorate to provide a report as to whether the condition of the accused merits their staying in the hospital.
