PASIGHAT, Jul 15: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Pasighat Galo Welfare Organization (PGWO) at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital here on Saturday, with technical assistance from the hospital administration.
Forty-three units of blood were collected from PGWO members and volunteers from the Ranaghat GREF camp and the GTC CRPF camp.
JDHS Dr D Raina, who inaugurated the camp, commended the PGWO for organizing the camp, and explained how donated blood could be used to save many precious human lives.
Medical officials, members of the PGWO, senior leaders, and volunteers from the Galo community were also present.
Later in the day, local MLA Kaling Moyong also visited the camp and offered words of advice. (DIPRO)
