BORUM, Jul 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) capital unit president Tarh Tarak called on party workers and leaders to be prepared for the general elections in 2019, so that the BJP wins with the highest margin.
He said this during the concluding programme of the 15-day ‘Challo BLC ki aur, sampark se samarthan tak abhiyan’ here on Saturday. The objective of the abhiyan is to prepare the party’s organizational setup at the grassroots level for ‘Mission 2019’.
Tarak, who is also the state BJP secretary, said the abhiyan team began its movement on 6 July from Tarajuli polling station under Nirjuli mandal unit and held a coordination meeting with BLC office bearers of all the 72 polling stations of the capital complex.
Calling for maintaining team spirit, he announced that a BLC level workshop would be held on 28 July, where presidents and general secretaries of each BLC would impart special training on the theme ‘Voters to voting’.
“Senior party leaders will also be invited to share their experience and leadership skills during the training period,” Tarak said.
UD Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso, who was also present, spoke on the policy and programmes of the party at the booth level.
“Any party or organization is strong if its members are strong,” he said, and called on party workers to maintain discipline and “support the activities of the society and the government.”
