NAMSAI, Jul 26: The Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) has conferred an honoris causa doctor of literature (DLit) award on Union MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
AUS pro-chancellor Vishva Lochan and vice-chancellor Prof VK Kawatra handed over the award to Rijiju in a function held here recently.
While receiving the award, Rijiju expressed happiness over the development of the university. He said the AUS “is gradually becoming one of the largest and most progressive institutions in the Northeast region under self-sponsored category in the field of higher education.”
Rijiju assured of wholehearted cooperation for the development of the university, a release from the AUS stated.
