NAHARLAGUN, Jul 28: The Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) under the National Health Mission (NHM), believed to be the first of its kind in the state, was launched by Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang here on Saturday.
As of now, the NHM is the only directorate in the state that has implemented the HRMIS for overall management of human resources.
Libang commended the department on achieving the milestone, and approved online payment of the salaries of contractual HR under the NHM. He also urged other directors to adopt the system “on priority.”
State NHM Mission Director Dr Tapasya Raghav informed that the IT solution adopted would ensure transparency in work and timely disbursement of staff salaries through the PFMS platform across all the districts and programmes under the NHM.
“Timely payment of salaries is important to motivate the staff working in far-flung areas of the state,” she said, adding that the system would help in overall management of the health department.
“As the implementation progresses, leave management, promotion, training status and requirements, transfer, postings, etc, of all the staff will be transparently implemented,” she said.
Health Services Director Dr M Lego, DME Dr RD Khrime, NHM nodal officer Dr D Padung and other directors of the department were also present.
