PASIGHAT, Jul 31: The Anggong Society (AS) here has demanded that the East Siang district administration expedite the trial of the two persons accused of raping a minor girl in Ngopak village in East Siang district.
Accused Bukyang Yirang was arrested by police on 10 July and booked under the POCSO Act. Later, police arrested another accused in the case and booked him under the same act, the AS stated in a representation to the deputy commissioner, and demanded exemplary punishment for the accused.
