ITANAGAR, Aug 7: “A BJP and NPP alliance government is going to take place in Arunachal Pradesh very shortly,” said the National People’s Party’s (NPP) state president Gicho Kabak.
He, however, reiterated his earlier statement that the NPP would not have a pre-poll alliance with any political party in Arunachal Pradesh in the 2019 parliamentary and assembly elections but may opt for an alliance government with any like-minded political party.
Kabak said this during a function held here on Tuesday to celebrate the NPP’s completing one year in Arunachal Pradesh.
State NPP vice-president Nima Sangey Saling said the NPP has established party organizations in 17 districts of the state and hopes to do the same in the remaining five districts shortly.
He encouraged party workers to work hard to expand the party organization down to the grassroots level before the forthcoming elections in the state.
MLAs Tanga Byaling, Mutchu Mithi and Tirong Aboh encouraged the party’s leaders and expressed full faith in the leadership of Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP president Conrad K Sangma.
They also assured to work in the greater interest of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
