CHIMPU, Aug 13: A brilliant hat-trick from Tajing Siram helped Naharlagun Solung FC thrash Gumin Bote 7-3 in a Group B match of the Itanagar Solung Football Tournament here on Monday.
Naharlagun Solung took the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal from Ojing Pada. Tatem Taloh netted the second goal in the 31st minute, and Tajing Siram the third in the 35th minute to put Naharlagun Solung in a commanding position.
Tokram Tamut added another goal in the 49th minute to pile up misery on Gumin Bote.
Tajing netted two consecutive goals in the 53rd and the 71st minute to complete his hat-trick. Atem Siram netted the 7th goal in the 73rd minute.
Onong Takak (58th and 64th minutes) and Kaling Aje (62nd min) scored for the defeated team.
Tajing Siram was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
In another match, Banggo UFC defeated Todi Yameng FC 4-0 to maintain the team’s winning run.
Gelat Jiji, Takar Ragyor, Toni Saroh and Akar Hangong were the scorers.
The ‘player of the match’ title went to Gelat Jiji of Banggo UFC.
