YUPIA, Aug 13: A hands-on training programme on the uses of web portal and mobile application for satellite-based monitoring and geo-tagging of developmental projects in Arunachal Pradesh was organized here by the planning & investment department on Monday.
Chairing the programme, Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda highlighted the importance of training on satellite-based monitoring and geo-tagging system for monitoring the implementation of developmental projects.
He asked the participants to implement what they learn during the programme in letter and spirit in their respective departments.
State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) Deputy Director Tana Tage gave a presentation on satellite-based monitoring and geo-tagging of developmental projects in Arunachal Pradesh, while a team of officers comprising Timoti Nima, Vikram Singh and Neelam Sunil gave presentations on hands-on training on mobile application, and Dashboard (MIS entry).
SRSAC Director HK Dutta also gave inputs.
During the hands-on training session, the Dashborad MIS entries of 15 HoDs from line departments were approved, and 55 mobile application users were approved.
The participants, led by District Planning Officer M Karga, were later taken on a field visit, during which they geo-tagged six projects.
All heads of departments and field officers from line departments attended the programme. (DIPRO)
