ITANAGAR, Aug 14: Addressing volunteers of the All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) at IG Park here on Tuesday morning, local MLA Techi Kaso urged the people to make cleanliness a habit.
AAPPTF volunteers have been carrying out cleanliness drive throughout the capital complex for the last few months.
Kaso urged parents to inculcate the habit of cleanliness among their children, and suggested that social service should be conducted regularly by the residents of the sectors and colonies.
Kaso also appealed to the stakeholders to at least clean their residences and localities and cooperate with the IMC for proper disposal of garbage.
Itanagar ADC In-charge Hento Karga lauded the volunteers and executive members of the AAPPTF for their initiative, and urged all to join such a drive in the sectors and colonies of the capital complex. He also assured them of support from the administration.
AAPPTF president Dobing Sonam urged the drivers of commercial vehicles not to litter but to dispose of waste in dustbins located at various places along NH 415.
Among others, IMC Executive Engineer Tadar Tarang and organizing chairman Tagio Sonam addressed the programme.
