CHIMPU, Aug 14: Kine Nane FC beat Gabang FC 4-2 in a Group-C match in the Itanagar Solung Football Tournament at AAPBn Ground here on Tuesday.
In a match that saw fortune changing from one team to another after each goal scored, it was Ashok Osik who gave the Kine Nane the lead, scoring in 13 minutes. However, the lead was short-lived as Gabang FC equalized eight minutes later through a goal from Kaling Tamuk.
Kine Nane took the lead for the second time when Jarling Ratan scored in the 26th minute (2-1). Orbo Tayeng added another goal for Kine Nane in the 33th minute to put his team on a commanding position (3-1).
Kaling Tamuk again scored in the 49th minute to reduce the margin (to 2-3) as well as his team’s Gabang FC’s hope alive. But Jarling Ratan netted his second and the team’s fourth goal in the 57th minute to seal the match in their favour.
Jarling was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
The first match was suspended due to technical reasons.
