MLA distributes scholarships to APCSCCE mains qualifiers

ITANAGAR, Aug 19: Palin MLA Takam Pario gave away Rs 50,000 each to the 25 candidates from Kra Daadi district who cleared the prelims of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE).
He gave away the scholarships during an ‘orientation cum scholarship extension programme’ at a city hotel here on Sunday.
Pario said the programme was meant to provide a platform to the aspirants to interact with experienced and senior APCS officers.
Kra-Daadi Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu advised the candidates to set a target right from the age of 18 to become an officer or achieve their goal in life. He urged the aspirants to devote themselves to studying for the mains, and said they should not confine themselves only to APPSC examination but also to try to crack the UPSC.
“Though Kra Daadi district does not produce adequate officers, one day there will be surplus officers from the district,” opined Ligu.
CO Kipa Raja shared his experiences in the APPSC examinations, advised the candidates to adopt a learning process, and stressed on group discussions and general knowledge. He also thanked the MLA for taking up such initiative to encourage the APCS aspirants of the district for the first time.
