ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Following a directive from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the state government has effected transfer and posting of 189 administrative officers in the state.
Those transferred or posted include 27 additional deputy commissioners, 58 extra assistant commissioners, and 104 circle officers serving in various circles and district headquarters.
The process of transfer and posting is likely to be completed before September this year.
The ECI has issued the order in view of the forthcoming general elections scheduled in April-May 2019.
