AALO, Aug 27: The police here have registered a case against one Ribom Riba (40), a resident of Pagi village in Lower Siang district, for the alleged kidnapping and sexual harassment of a 12-year-old girl.
Following an FIR lodged by the West Siang district child protection unit and the child development department, the police registered a case under Section 452/366 (A), R/W Section 8 of the POCSO Act.
According to the FIR, the accused is said to have intruded into a girls’ hostel, kidnapped the 12-year-old from there, and sexually harassed her. (DIPRO)
