ROING, Aug 28: Identified street vendors of Roing town benefited from a skill development workshop conducted here by the district urban development agency on Tuesday, under the ‘Support to urban street vendors’ programme.
Certificates were later distributed to the beneficiaries of various trades of general duty assistant, electrical & electrician, and electronic & hardware.
The training was imparted by empanelled training partners AISECT, Teamlease and Anuna, under the ‘Employment through skill training & placement’ component of the DAY-NULM.
Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom congratulated the trainees and exhorted them to build their careers through such training programmes. SMO Dr F Rahman, ACLM CS Singpho, and Inspector Abraham Taying also participated in the programme as resource persons. (DIPRO)
