PASIGHAT, Sep 6: The office of the child development project officer (CDPO) here, under the Pasighat ICDS project, was inaugurated by local MLA Kaling Moyong on Thursday.
The Pasighat ICDS division has 74 anganwadi centres. The MLA expressed hope that there would be better coordination between the CDPO and the ICDS staff in the implementation of various ICDS services for children and women.
The MLA assured to provide all possible support for smooth functioning of the CDPO office, and exhorted CDPOs, supervisors and anganwadi workers to give the best health care services to children and women.
East Siang DC Tamiyo Tatak asked the CDPOs to ensure that all health services reach the target beneficiaries. He particularly stressed on providing services for good nutrition for children and pregnant mothers.
The DC also stressed on close coordination between anganwadi workers and field workers like ASHAs.
