DAPORIJO, Sep 7: Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf has expressed unhappiness over the inordinate delay in execution of some of the centrally-sponsored projects in the district.
Ashraf, who chaired a meeting of the District Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) here on Friday, said some projects are taking time even though they should not have. He urged the officers to work with dedication and complete the projects on time, so that the benefits of such projects can be reaped by the people.
He directed all the departments to be extra cautious in the selection of projects and beneficiaries.
He asked them to monitor the implementation of the projects in order to ensure that the projects are implemented as per the guidelines.
The meeting, which was attended by HoDs and Nacho MLA Tanga Byaling, took stock of various completed and ongoing centrally-sponsored projects.
Earlier, the officers made PowerPoint presentations on the status of the projects undertaken by their respective departments.
