‘Kidnapped’ schoolgirl rescued

JAIRAMPUR, Sep 7: A Class 8 girl student who was suspected to have been kidnapped on 4 September from here in Changlang district has been rescued from Namrup, Assam, by police.
The alleged kidnapper, who has been identified as Shyam Singh Sekhawat, has also been arrested by a team from the Jairampur police station, with the help of Assam Police.
A complaint was lodged at the police station here by the mother of the girl on 5 September after her daughter, who had gone to school on 4 September, had not returned home.
The police after registering the complaint swung into action and succeeded in rescuing the girl within 24 hours. (DIPRO)
