APCC slams Irani over remark

ITANAGAR, Sep 22: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has slammed Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani for “making low level remark” on AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
A day after Gandhi launched a no-holds barred attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on the Rafale fighter jets deal, Irani had on Friday said Gandhi was indulging in low-level politics.
“Comments made by Gandhi on Thursday are a reflection of his upbringing,” she had said.
Accusing Irani of stooping low by making such a remark on the AICC president, the APCC said, “Irani, as a woman and a mother of two, should be ashamed of questioning Rahulji’s upbringing.”
Asking her not to indulge in a “brazen exercise to cover up Modi’s lie and corruption,” the APCC said: “Instead of wasting time for telling hundreds of lies to justify Rafale scam by Modi, she should furnish a white paper on Rafale deal if Modi is clean.”
