ITANAGAR, Sept 22: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) has requested the central government to introduce a daytime train service from Naharlagun to Guwahati (Assam) for the large number of passengers who seek to travel during daytime only.
The federation also demanded that the timing for railway tickets booking be extended up to 8 pm for the convenience of the passengers from far-flung areas, and that there should be free wi-fi facility at the Naharlagun railway station, besides ATM service near the railway station.
The AAPPTF placed its demands recently before MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who forwarded it to MoS for Railways Rajen Gohain for consideration.
