AALO, Sep 25: The power department’s electrical division here has said it will carry out a special revenue collection drive to recover “outstanding electricity consumption charges and dues from 5 October to 31 March, 2019.”
The drive would involve spot collection of long outstanding electricity consumption dues; service disconnection of all the defaulting consumers, illegal connections, tappings, hooking and power thefts; and seizure of service connection materials, it said.
“Also, all un-metered and defective consumer meters shall be identified and installation of tested and new meters shall be encouraged as per the Arunachal Pradesh State Electricity Regulatory Commission Notification of Electricity Supply Code, 2013, as per Electricity Act, 2003,” it added.
