NAHARLAGUN, Sep 27: Gora Makik SC (GMFC) defeated Banderdewa FC (BFC) 7-2 to become the second team from Group B to enter the quarterfinals of the ongoing 7th Eagle Football Championship at RG Stadium here on Thursday.
Bato Basar of BFC scored the first goal in the 6th minute. However, Phassang Tama of GMSC equalized the score board 1-1 in the 12th minute. The second goal for GMSC was scored by Byabang Doley in the 17th minute.
In the 21st minute of the match, Gyamar Vijay of BFC scored a penalty goal, making the scoreboard read 2-2. Tama of GMSC stormed back and scored two more goals in the 26th and 35th minutes, turning the score to 4-2. Gyammar Talla of GMSC netted a goal in the 28th minute to finish the first half at 5-2.
In the second half of the match, Limar Loya and A Kharel of GMSC scored a goal each, in the 54th and the 65th minute, and the GMSC won the match with the huge margin of 7-2.
Deed Circle FC will play against Sagalee FC on Friday at 2:30 pm.
