KV students on visit to Kameng and Tawang sectors

TAWANG, Oct 16: A group of 50 girl students from Kendriya Vidyalayas of the Northeast states are currently on a five-day visit to Kameng and Tawang sectors as part of ‘Seema Darshan’ programme conducted by KV Sangathan, reports the DIPRO.
An initiative by the organization, the tour will familiarize the youth of the region with harsh service conditions and rugged terrain, faced by the Indian Army while defending the Northern frontiers in the sector, the report said.
The group will be taken to the famous Bumla Pass on LAC, Shungaster Lake, Sub Joginder and Tawang Memorials, besides local site seeing at Tawang, Jang.
The tour will culminate at Tenga with a visit to the Tenga War Museum and a camp fire planned on 17 October at Tenga Valley, the DIPRO added.
