ITANAGAR, Oct 28: Expressing resentment over alleged delay in the investigation into the death of former Doimukh MLA Ngurang Pinch, the Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) has demanded that the state government hand the case over to the CBI.
“Due to the delay in the investigation process, the family of late Pinch and the people of the state have been raising this question before the state government.
Some sections of the society and the family members have already approached the state government, asking that the CBI take up the case. But with no result and answer, the family is compelled to organize an online signature campaign on Change.org,” the ACS stated in a release on Sunday.
Expressing support to the bereaved family, the ACS questioned the government’s sincerity in having the case investigated, and said if the government were sincere, it would have “properly instructed while handing over the case to the CBI” and put more pressure on the investigation agency.
The ACS also urged the people to support the signature campaign seeking a CBI inquiry into Pinch’s mysterious death.
