ZIRO, Nov 5: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) on Sunday launched its campaign for a ‘money free and fair’ election in Lower Subansiri district.
The campaign will start on 25 November and cover every village in the Ziro valley, informed AYA president Habung Tamang.
He said the task is challenging, but not unachievable.
State Election Commissioner Hage Kojeen and Dr Duyu Meena Mudang were present at the launch programme. They appreciated the AYA’s endeavour and appealed to all sections of the society to support the movement.
Members from Tanw Supun Dukun, the Apatani Women Association Ziro, the Apatani Students’ Union, the Apatani Gaon Bura Welfare Association, NGOs, and the public of Ziro attended the programme.
