GEKU, Nov 9: The Upper Siang district administration conducted an awareness programme on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme here on 6 November.
Besides the heads of offices of Geku block, local MLA Olom Panyang and Mariyang ADC Tungge Loya attended the programme.
BBBP district nodal officer Pakkar Nomuk informed that the child sex ratio of Upper Siang is 946 girls for 1000 boys, which he said “is a matter of concern for the government of India, which is why the scheme is being implemented.”
The programme was supervised Geku CO Olom Panggeng and CDPO Aseng Borang. (DIPRO)
