ITANAGAR, Nov 13: The state police have cautioned the public against spreading messages and videos on social media platforms which could incite mob violence, including lynching.
Violators would be dealt with as per the law, the superintendent of police (crime), police headquarters, said on Tuesday.
“The Supreme Court while hearing a writ petition on mob lynching strictly directed police to strictly deal with incidents of mob lynching and register FIRs under appropriate sections of the law against those who indulge in such activities,” the SP said.
