TAWANG, Nov 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday inaugurated two projects for the development of the North East tourism circuit in the state: the Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Tawang project, and the Nafra-Seppa-Papu, Pasa, Pakke valleys-Sangdupota-New Sagalee-Ziro-Yomcha project, at the PTSO lake here.
Union MoS for Tourism KJ Alphons, state Tourism Minister Jarkar Gamlin and Lok Sabha Member Ninong Ering were also present at the inauguration.
“The two projects were sanctioned in 2014-’15 under Swadesh Darshan, and for a single project like the Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Tawang tourism project, the Centre has sanctioned Rs 50 crore. Likewise, Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned against the Nafra-Seppa-Sagalee-Ziro-Yomcha project,” Pema said in his address.
Acknowledging that the state has received tremendous support from the Centre in the tourism sector, the CM expressed appreciation for the union tourism ministry’s move to develop the Parashuram Kund tourist site, and for its assurance to clear all pending issues regarding tourism in the state. (CMO)
