ITANAGAR, Nov 20: Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday, and the two discussed developmental issues of the state.
The governor apprised the chief minister of the discussion he had with Kendriya Vidhyalaya (KV) Commissioner Santosh Kumar Mall and the finalization of the opening of seven KVs in the state, for which procedural activities are now underway.
Mishra also spoke about the Arunachalee Armed Forces Officers’ Groups’ ‘Pay back to society’ programme, through which officers of Arunachal Pradesh in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force will visit schools and colleges in different parts of the state from 25 November to 2 December and deliver motivational talks to the students.
The governor also apprised Pema of his recent interactions with the union ministers for culture and tourism in New Delhi, and of his observations during the visit to the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. (Raj Bhavan)
