YATDAM, Nov 23: Power Minister Tamiyo Taga inaugurated the circle office, along with the new power division office, a multipurpose hall and an inspection bungalow here in Changlang district in his maiden visit to the district on Friday.
The projects were funded under SPA and the DoTCL, and executed by the PWD and the RWD.
Addressing the gathering of government officials, gaon burahs, public leaders and others, Taga commended the efforts of Changlang North MLA Tesam Pongte “for ushering in much-needed development in Yatdam circle through utilization of government funds for the right purposes.
“The opening of the CO office, the IB and the multipurpose hall will go a long way in meeting the needs of the people living in remote villages,” Taga said, and added that the state government would leave not stone unturned to ensure further development of Changlang district.
Pongte in his address reiterated his commitment to develop the district. Changlang South MLA Phosum Kimhun, DC RK Mishra and CO (in-charge) Rani Mibang also spoke.
Among others, Power SE BS Kaneri, Power EE Gangtong Bangyang, RWD EE H Rekhung, and PWD EE P Ngemu were present at the inauguration. (DIPRO)
