Besides reviewing the status of the Tezu and Hollongi airport projects, the two discussed matters related to forest and environment clearance, and the AAI’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes in the state.
The CS said all CSR activities should be undertaken with full knowledge of the government to ensure transparency and accountability and stop misuse, if any, of the schemes.
Lohit Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki made a PowerPoint presentation on the status of the Tezu airport project.
On the matter of conversion of the Tezu airport from VFR to IFR, the DC informed that the matter has been referred to the Lohit DFO for obtaining the no-objection certificate to clear the vegetative obstacles for conversion, as requested by the AAI. (PRO)
