NAMSAI, Dec 14: The Arunachal Pradesh Khadi & Village Industries Board (APKVIB) has set up a five-day exhibition here, displaying traditional products from various districts.
Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme beneficiaries from West Siang, East Siang, Lower Subansiri, Papum Pare and Namsai districts are displaying their products during the event, which was inaugurated by Namsai SDO Orin Lego at the town club here.
Lego commended the board’s attempt to showcase various handloom and industry products made by indigenous groups of the state.
“Such exhibition not only promotes creativity but immensely helps to boost rural economy and exchange of culture,” Lego said.
KVIB CEO Ojing Ketan and Namsai ADI BR Dey were also present at the inaugural function.
The exhibition has been set up in collaboration with the industries department.
