ITANAGAR, Dec 18: About eighty statistics personnel from different districts of the state are taking part in a three-day state-level training on the 77th round the National Sample Survey (NSS, which will be carried out from January to December 2019), which began at the economics & statistics directorate here on Tuesday.
Matters such as land and livestock holding of households, and situation assessment of agricultural households and debt and investment would be covered during the survey. The survey will also be conducted online.
Addressing the participants, Kolkata (WB)-based SDRD’s DDG D Chakrabarty emphasized the importance of the subjects, especially the debt and investment status in the country endorsed by the RBI, to gather information on the impact of debt and investment on the national economy.
The economics & statistics director in his address urged the field officials to be “sincere while canvassing the survey, keeping in mind that the quality of data and the timeline are not compromised.”
