Villagers benefit from SAD camps

KHARTENG, Dec 27: Various government departments provided their services to the people during the Tawang district administration’s Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp at Kharteng village, near the Indo-Bhutan border, on Thursday.
The camp was inaugurated by DC in-charge Dochara Lama, and served over 1000 villagers from Kharteng, Phomang and Bakhar.
Lama felicitated the toppers of the upper primary school here, and handed over a science learning kit to the teacher in charge. He later inspected the village.
In Kra Daadi district, the administration conducted SAD camps at Magne-Dogha and Tali on 17 and 19 December, respectively.
Both the camps were inaugurated by Tali ADC Biaro Sorum, whose team had to face heavy rainfall during the foot march from Yangte to Tali.
In Lower Subansiri district, the administration held the SAD camp at Laji Byoga village on Thursday, catering to Laji, Duyu, Padi and Nani villages.
DRDA PD Toko Audil inaugurated the camp and, along with officials and gaon buris, inspected the stalls and interacted with the beneficiaries and the officials manning the stalls. (DIPROs)
